The Biomax Genome Comparison Database forms the basis of protein-sequence-based microbial genome comparison using the Pedant-Pro Sequence Analysis Suite. An "all-against-all" comparison of protein sequences using the SIMAP technology is provided with tools for viewing positional linkage, phylogenetic profiling and detailed synteny analysis with an intuitive user interface accessible from the Pedant-Pro suite.
The database is constructed individually according to your company's or project requirements. Any number of the following can be integrated:
- Proprietary genomes or contigs
- PEDANT genomes
- Publicly available genomes

The comparison database can be explored using the graphical Pedant-Pro user interface and is especially well-suited for usage with microbial genomes, e.g., in industrial biotechnology. The comparison data can be set up as an in-house installation or can be used within a hosted installation at Biomax.
