Refining the original search

Relevant phrases in the results can be combined with the original search term using Boolean operators ( and , or , not or parentheses) to iteratively refine the search concept. Note: the search concept can be stored in a text file to be shared, extended or developed into a unique ontology for later inclusion as a proprietary dictionary in your BioLT installation.

For example, refine the original search by adding the terms "cotyledon*" or "flower*" to the original search term as follows:

arabidopsis and (leaves or cotyledon* or flower*) and regulation

Select the "Gene or Protein" dictionary.

The results list all terms in the "Gene or Protein" dictionary the occur with the search terms. Click a term in the tree (e.g., "leafy") to display the sentences containing the co-occurrences.
