Entering a search expression

To perform a search, enter a search expression in the text field. The search is not case-sensitive and may contain the following elements:

  • Any single term: cancer
  • A phrase in quotation marks: "breast cancer" (results contain the phrase "breast cancer")
  • Multiple terms: breast cancer (by default, two or more terms without quotation marks are interpreted as having the operator "and" between them)
  • Boolean operators: and , or , not , or parentheses, ( and )
  • A term with wildcard (asterisk) after the term: muta* (results contain terms starting with "muta")
  • The terms "and any" followed by a dictionary name: and any compound (results contain any term in the compound dictionary)
  • Any combination of the above: muta* and any compound
